This is my first post ever. It’s naturally very exciting! Like all of you I have read thousands of post for the last few years! I do not want to become a celebrity blogger nor do I want be politically, grammatically, technically , ethnically correct about my posting. (Ethnicity has nothing to do with it..i just got carried away) . My reason for writing this post is to share my dream.
I am 30 years old IT consultant from New York City. For the last four years, I have been thinking of going/hoping/traveling around the world with my wife. But I am sad to admit that I have not done anything to make that dream come true. There is always a credit card bill to pay, jobs too secured to quit, pending student loan, no reserve cash etc. The list goes on and on..
Now this is the bottom line, I would definitely like to start traveling by 2010. I don’t want to wait till I am 65 and then start traveling. Yes, at that age people have built a safety net around them, they have retirement funds, kids in college and above all , the money for luxury travel. But I plan to travel around the worldas economically as possible. I don’t plan to stay on streets or couch surf but that does not mean that I will stay at four star hotels. A safe, convinient youth hostel/dorms will do. And believe it or not , there are many places like that around the world. Besides staying, there are cheaper but safe fun way to travel, visit sites, eat at restaurants all around the world. There is no new information that I have discovered. It’s just that I have been searching and searching, reading and reading for the last few years of other people’s travel stories, newspaper articles, magazines etc.. All this years I have build up a good source of information for traveling/hoping around the world in a frugal way. I want to share all that information with my fellow dreamers. Dreamers,guess what it’s doable.. if we put our minds into it we can hop around the world. Lets just get together to achieve a competitive bargaining advantage and fun team to be a part off.
I am inviting all you folks out there to think about it ! Dreamers, are you willing to go hop around the world ? This blog is for all the you who have no way /means /path as off now but would love to join the bandwagon! Lets get 100 dreamers together to go for this journey. Our weakness may well be in financing but we will overcome that by our numbers. Let the numbers speak for themselves.
Lets start banding together , share our idea, share our info, talk about finance, talk about destinations and look to Fall of 2010.
